Dragon Scale - ZERO [Titanium]

Inspired by the scales of a dragon, this ring features an enchanting display of color emerging from between the scales.

We created this piece in response to requests from customers who wanted a ring that would not easily catch on clothing. While the overall shape is simple, we focused on creating a strong presence through its three-dimensional sculptural form and unique color expression.

For those concerned about changes to the surface over time, you can choose a finish where the color is retained only within the grooves. This helps minimize color changes caused by friction and allows the ring to maintain its beautiful appearance for longer.

【ARCHIVE RECORD】

The colors are created through titanium anodizing, a process that forms a thin oxide film on the surface of the titanium.

This produces a structural color effect similar to what can be seen in soap bubbles, rainbows, and the wings of Morpho butterflies.

You can choose your preferred colors and finish, allowing us to create a unique piece that reflects your individuality.

【CUSTOMIZATION PROCESS】

① Choose Your Colors

From the attached Color Menu, select your preferred colors using consecutive numbers.

Examples:

◎ ① + ②
◎ ⑥ + ⑦ + ⑧

× ① + ③
× ① + ② + ⑦

Please note that colors with gaps between their numbers cannot be smoothly graduated into one another.

② Choose Your Color Finish

You can choose from two options:

・Full Color
Color is applied across the entire surface of the scales and grooves.

・Silver Scale Surface + Colored Grooves
The raised surfaces of the scales remain silver-colored, while only the recessed grooves are colored.

Please note that titanium's anodized color may gradually change through friction and wear over time.

If you are concerned about color fading or changes in appearance, we recommend polishing the raised surfaces and retaining the color only within the grooves.

Alternatively, you may enjoy the natural changes over time as part of the piece's character — much like the shedding and wear of scales on a real creature.

③ Choose Your Ring Size

Because the ring is digitally modeled in 3D, a wide range of sizes can be customized.

The standard size is Japanese size 10 (approximately US size 5.5).

Additional charges may apply for larger sizes depending on the requested size.

Important: Titanium is difficult to resize after production. Please carefully select the finger you intend to wear the ring on and make sure your ring size is accurate before ordering.

④ Choose Your Surface Finish

A. Mirror Polish

The surface of the scales is polished to a smooth, glossy, mirror-like finish.

B. Matte / Rough Finish

The surface of the scales is left without a smooth polish, creating a rugged and uneven texture.

The irregular surface reflects light in a more random way, giving the ring a more organic and lifelike appearance.

・Material: Titanium

・Titanium is generally considered hypoallergenic and is often suitable for people with metal sensitivities. However, individual reactions may vary.

・The colors are not paint or conventional coating.
They are created through the formation of an oxide film by an electrochemical process.

The anodized color may gradually change or fade through friction over time, particularly when exposed to abrasive materials such as polishing cloths.

For customers who wear the ring frequently or are concerned about color changes, we recommend choosing a polished surface finish.

Alternatively, you may enjoy the natural aging of the piece, much like the way leather develops its own character over time.

・Titanium is significantly lighter than silver or copper, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods.

・The color can be changed or reapplied at a later date.

・Please avoid acidic or alkaline cleaning products, as they may damage or remove the anodized color film.

Each piece is individually produced after your order is placed.

Production and shipping are expected to take approximately 5–6 weeks from the date of order.
